About This Location
Oaks Park Roller Rink in Portland opened on June 23, 1906. Oaks Park identifies it as the oldest roller rink in the country and the largest skating floor west of the Mississippi. Its 100-by-200-foot rotunda maple floor and 1926 Wurlitzer pipe organ preserve an unusually deep link to classic American rink culture.
